Contribute confidently
- Each hub’s “Create or edit” button launches the right form with structured fields and guidance.
- Follow namespace guardrails: Biographies need citations, Case pages summarise facts first, and Research notes stay provisional.
- Cite sources with <ref></ref> and summarise them in the Sources field; keep speculation in Research notes until verified.
- Start with Recent changes, New pages, or Wanted pages when you need a task.
- Upload supporting material via Special:Upload and connect it through Media works.
Tools and quick search
- Advanced search exposes namespace filters so you can focus on cases, documents, or research notes.
- Category trees on every hub are powered by CategoryTree for fast browsing—expand the country, decade, or type you need.
- Watch or bookmark individual categories to keep up with additions across the taxonomy.
- Need help? Join discussions on relevant talk pages or leave a note at Community portal.
Reliability and scope
- Fact namespaces (Cases, People, Organisations, Docs, Transcripts, Places, Media works, Pop culture) require reliable sourcing; Research notes capture leads and analysis until they are ready for promotion.
- Page banners and disclaimers such as Template:Claims disclaimer and Template:Research disclaimer signal when content is provisional.
- Moderation, Questy CAPTCHA, and gentle rate limits keep the archive healthy—new submissions may take a moment to appear.
